ISEA 2010 RUHR

We participate at the 16th ISEA (International Symposium on Electronic Art which is held in Ruhr Area, Germany between 20-29 August 2010.

Scratch that itch - KIBU workshop at Recycle X, Doordrecht (NL)

András Szalai and Melinda Sipos of KIBU will join Recycle X and are invited to develop a workshop on-site.'Scratch that Itch' will take place in the KIBU Space, where you can sit, browse and interact with a selection of KIBU projects and products.

KIBU CAMP'10

This year's KIBU camp will be held from 26 to 30 July, 2010, for former and present KIBU researchers.

There will be workshops on HTML5, 3D modelling with Rhino, MAX/MSP and Nodebox, social activities and lots of fun!

Neighbourhood Science at Medialab-Prado

Between the 7th and the 23rd of june we had the possibility to participate in the workshop Neighbourhood Science which took place at MediaLab-Prado in Madrid. The aim of this years proposals was to create collaboration within the local urban networks using free software and hardware technologies (“Do It Yourself” DIY and “Do It With Others” DIWO) in order to develop it collaboratively.

Under the knife - exhibition

Under the knife exhibition opens at Budapest Fiction gallery on July 1, 2010, at 7 PM . Exhibition can be visited until July 24,
Wednesdays to Saturdays, from 2 PM to 7 PM.

Works of French artist Cannelle Tanc, and subjective maps of Budapest by Attila Bujdosó, Dániel Feles és Krisztián Gergely (Kitchen Budapest) will be shown.

Labtolab meeting #2 at Medialab-Prado

Labtolab's second offical meeting took place between 7-11 June 2010 in Madrid. Labtolab program is a joint effort of five european media labs with an aim to think about the alternative forms of sharing knowledge and the possibilities of non-standard and whole-life-last ways of learning in general.

The EU granted co-operation was initiated by Crealab in Nantes and includes as founder participants Constant from Brussels, Medialab-Prado from Madrid, Area10 from London and Kitchen Budapest.

KIBU @ Collegium Hungaricum Berlin!

On 5 June 2010 KIBU's project the Talking Flowers, the Opera Looper and the No Copy Paste performance @ CHB! We are invited by the Hungarian Cultural Center for the Long Night of Science event!

If you are in Berlin this weekend come and try our projects and meditate, enjoy our No Copy Paste performance!

Live coding performance tomorrow night at 7 PM

27 May, 2010. Thursday night Live Coding Performance @ KIBU 7 PM!

Members of the performance generate music and visuals in real-time, utilizing live coding, which emphasises the expressive possibilities afforded by programming languages as a means for defining and manipulating computational processes.

KIBU at Kinetica Art Fair

On 4th February 2010 the international, thematic exhibition, Kinetica Art Fair, will open for the second time in London. KIBU researchers developed two kinetic installations: LANdelion, a blow-sensitive dandelion, and POP, a set of playful lamps capable of learning

KIBU at TEDx Danubia

Sipos Melinda, program director of KIBU will talk at the first TEDx event in Hungary.

TEDx Danubia will take place in Budapest, at Uránia cinema, on 27 January, 2010.
