Next 5. (Nordic Exceptional Trendshop Festival) is an exhibition and trendshop in Arhus, Danmark organized by Innovation Lab. Kitchen Budapest presented 3 projects in the exhibition.
The exhibition lasted for 3 days between 4th and 6th of April, 2008.
First day - conferences, lectures
First day there were different conferences and lectures in the event. We also made an intruduction presentation in "five minute madness" show.

Kitchen at five minute madness presentation
On this conference the selected exhibitors, guests had a chance to introduce their projects in a couple of minutes for an audiance of more than 300 guests consisting of leaders, delegates from the biggest companies in invention and press representatives.
In our presentation we introduced Kitchen Budapest and the three projects we brought to the event (Mllamp, Home Moonlight and Arbour Light).
3500-4000 people
On the second and third day we went on with presenting our project but this time it was for individual persons and groups in our booth. We had a really large place to place and present our three projects but was still crowded at times with more than 50 people at the same time. It was fun actually.
Many of our guests were inspired to visit our booth because of our presentation we held previously, others were attracted by the weird office lamp with shaking head or the pleasant atmosphere by the dimmed lights. Hundreds of people visited our booth daily during the event.

Mllamp
According to the organizers statistics 3500-4000 people visited the exhibition in the three days opened to the audience. We had many precious feedback from innovators an researchers we met - and this presentations can result in unexpected benefits for the projects and for Kitchen.
Great success
All our three projects made a hit on the audience particularly the Home Moonlight lamps, which many people wanted to buy.

Networking
Unfortunately there was little time left to visit all the exhibitors's booths but the dinners and parties organized for exhibitors gave chance to get in touch.
Anyway we still had time to get introduced to a couple of exciting projects and to speak with the authors.
One of the the several exciting projects exhibited was the Mind Chair of Beta Tank, which has a special input interface using a camera and a light box. This special device is attached to an enhanced grid of 400 solenoids installed in the back of the Mind Chair. People are able to sit in the chair, close their eyes and concentrate on the images which are vibrated into their backs by the solenoids. Builders of the Mind Chair think this chair can even help the blind to "see" shapes.
Other exciting project was Soomi Park's LED eyelashes. The glowing artificial eyelashes were able to detect and were triggered by the winks of the person who weared them.

There were also well-known projects, products like i-bar and Pleo.
There were also great technical innovations presented in a creative way like the one presented by CAVI (innovation lab from Denmark) which was a dynamically transparent glass wall. At first it seemed to be a nice hazy glass door becoming suddenly clear transparent getting close to it and becoming hazy again when walking out of a distance.

These are only a few examples of the exciting projects exhibited listed here:

We are grateful for the invitation and hope we will had more such exhibitions with high standard and fun introducing with such great persons including the organizers and the exhibitors.
