The Lift Conference, founded in 2006 in Geneva, Switzerland is an international series of events exploring the social implications of digital technologies. The newest feature of the conference, Lift @ home aims to extend the geographic scope of the conference enabling the community of Lifters to organize locally and share the experience of inspiring talks and activities that investigate the future of the networked society.

Jayme Cochrane is a new media artist and researcher from Linz, Austria, with a focus on social data in urban environments. Currently he is artist in residence at KitchenBudapest.
Kitchen Budapest presented Operalooper in Vienna on 16th March 2010.
The organizer and curator of the event called 'Ten minutes' was the Austrian Konzert Internationale Kulturplattform. During a one-night concert the audience had the opportunity to meet the latest electronic compositions of musical leaders in the Viennese academic scene. Samuel Gryllus presented an improvisative composition with the title 'Operalooper I-IV.'. Afterwards, the installation called Operalooper - which was developed with the help of Kitchen Budapest - was introduced to the attendants.
Kinetica Art Fair 2010
4th-7th February
On 4th February 2010 the international, thematic exhibition, Kinetica Art Fair, will open for the second time in London. KIBU researchers developed two kinetic installations: LANdelion, a blow-sensitive dandelion, and POP, a set of playful lamps capable of learning
As the part of the international Media Facades Festival we are open to the public (online and offline) with two enigmatic Budapest building! You can play with the facades and color the night's of Budapest!

We are organizing the technological workshop of Media Facade Festival 2010. With 6 other cities and cultural institutions we are working on the interconnectivity and interactivity of the media facades in these 2 days. You can try it from the beginning of August! Be intercultural citizen and play with the facades!
Kitchen Budapest runs a workshop for Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design (MOME) students during their Intensive Course Week, 16-19 March, 2010.

Kitchen Budapest is offering guest researcher positions for dedicated professionals, artists, engineers, interested in the convergence of new media and actual spaces, cultural experiences, new communities, and are highly motivated to create such projects in teams.
Beatriz Herraez – curator of Centro Cultural Montehermoso Kulturunea (Vitoria-Gasteiz, Spain) – gives a lecture in Kitchen Budapest on 4 May 2009 at 6pm about the goals of a contemporary art centre in the Basque capital, as well as her recent projects.
